Musical artists who died the last 60 years.

Death may be inevitable, but it’s still painfully tragic when it seems to come too soon, as was the case with these iconic musicians. Some were victims of accidents while others died due to health complications and addictive behaviors. Regardless, each and every one of these artists made a huge contribution to their respective musical genres. Here are  iconic musicians who left behind incomplete legacies and many broken hearts.

Favorite TV Theme Songs or Music

Who here can remember the old days when TV shows had awesome looking opening theme music or songs?

Some shows had some really memorable songs, like the CSI’s, and when it comes to music, NCIS, NCIS LA (before the 13th Season), The Office, Little House on the Praire come to my mind.

Any shows spark that kind of memory to you?

The British came with their music.

Some say it started in the late 50’s. For me the British invasion was the music of the 60’s and the 70’s. Much of it was American blues, but with a different beat. Some of it was American  rock but Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and the Isley Brothers sounded nothing like this.

So play anything from any UK country. Also any time frame will do. 50’s to today.

I was born in the 50’s but the 70’s rock was my grove.

I love a lot of different music. But the 70’s rock scene was it. Many bands from the 60’s hit what I believe was their peak. Zeppelin, The Who, Stones, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, etc. For me the garage bands would become major acts. Garage bands were bands I saw at peoples houses that would make it. Van Halen, Go Go’s, Runaways, Doken, etc.

It was a time I met some of what I thought were the greatest. Twice flew with Eric Carmen of the Raspberries. Rodied for a Yes Concert. Special thing for Nina Blackwood. And I got over losing a girl to the mayor of Sunset Strip. Rodney Bingenheimer. So sit back and listen to the music.

More of the late 60’s but here’s a 70’s version.

Play your favorite tunes.

I like a lot of different types of music. But the 60’s and classic rock does it for me. I was a child of the 70’s Sunset Strip. You would find me at the Whisky, Roxy, or Rainbow. Tower records and Peaches were also my kind of music stores. And if you ever made it down to Cerritos, Best Records was another hang out. But play what ever flips your Bic.

Closing out the year in pictures, song, and dance.

Another year has come and gone. So I would like to think that someone like me who is very political was able to show the softer side of 2021. We were able to keep politics off this website. So I would like to share some of the photos here. Some old, some new.

As we look forward to 2022 please share any pictures, or music. Or if you have a gif you think worth’s sharing, please do. May your new year be filled with joy.

This Christmas we had two tablecloths.

And can you ever forget our table cloth closet?

And years ago a bunch of recording artists got together for this tune.

And someone who left us knew how to change things around when it came to song and dance.

How about my favorite. FOOD.

How about a few giffs?

Dog clean up-Tenor

Living the good life.-Pinterest.

Who  can forget our famous Apple Works?

Or Lemon Works.

In the spring we had our world famous Ghetto garden.

We also had Easter decorations.

And we had Valentine’s.

And we celebrated the Irish.

In the summer we were Patriotic.

In the fall we had our Pumpkins.

In the winter, Icicles

And of course after 34 years, we went back to Hale Farm.

And we went thrifting.

And in the comments we will show the new.

Let’s hear it for space songs.

Space songs are always inspiring to listen to. After all, who honestly thought mankind would ever take to the sky and travel the universe? This is a ranked list of all songs about outer space, as voted on by music fans like you. Some of the songs included below may have the words “space” or “planet” in the lyrics or title, while others are only about space as a subject or theme. It’s not confirmed whether or not astronauts enjoy the music on this list, but there’s a strong possibility these songs would resonate with them. Recent movies like Gravity and Interstellar have had beautiful musical scores, but if you want to listen to less orchestral songs then this list is for you.

Music isn’t typically categorized by the meaning of the words, so this music list is a great way to find some solid tracks that are thematically similar. Vote for the space songs that you enjoy the most, and downvote ones if you think they’re not worthy of being high on the list. If one of your top songs is missing, add it to the list so others can vote for it too. Many genres of music are featured below, including rock, pop, folk, metal, and more.

One of my favorites.

Let’s hear it for the Animals

People love their pets. So it makes sense musicians with pets would put their love of their animals into their songs about pets or inspired by pets. Whether it’s a ballad to fuzzy felines or golden harmonies for goldfish, it seems there’s been a song written about every creature humans have domesticated. So the next time you and Mr. Cuddles want to spend some quality music listening time together, throw on one of these pet-inclined tracks. Both your pets and your ears will purr.

Some refer to animals right in their titles, but not all of these pet songs are obvious. “Martha My Dear,” by the Beatles, for example, seems to be about a woman but was actually written for Paul McCartney’s pet dog. Norah Jones, meanwhile, wrote “Man of the Hour” for her poodle. The song comes from her album The Fall, on the cover of which she is depicted with a Saint Bernard (not her actual dog).

Let’s hear it for the horses.

For the horse obsessed, you can never get enough equine influence. So, while you’re riding in your car, wishing you were riding a horse instead, you can turn on any of the following  tunes to get your equestrian fix for the moment. Granted, not all of these songs are actually about horses, but they all have something to do with horses and the cowboy life, making them the perfect tracks to listen to when you can’t be mounted on horseback. While they can’t replace the time you spend with a horse, these songs might just get you through until your next ride.

Let’s hear it for the fall.

It’s that time of year again. With the kids back in school once again and the days growing shorter and the shadows growing longer. The long hot days are over as the temps are getting milder and evenings getting cooler.

Autumn — when the slanting rays of fading summer sun turn the leaves from bright green to harvest gold, barn red, and every color in between… eventually giving way to barren treetops.

Little things like a good song and good company. It’s a great time to put together your own mp3 playlist or burn your next seasonal CD with the music of the changing seasons. A lot of these are tranquil and mood reflecting to unwind with while a few others are more hip and invite you to unleash your inner-self. There’s a variety of genres here to choose from to reflect your taste and mood. Enjoy!
